Report: Russia's 2020 manufacturing output seen flat on 2019

MOSCOW, Dec 30 (PRIME) -- Russia's manufacturing output was unchanged on 2019 in 2020 with the lead of the pharmaceutical sector, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told channel Rossiya 24 on Wednesday.

"Concerning industry, the goods-producing sector, the latest data show that the figures will be the same as in 2019 this year,” he said.

“Pharmaceuticals will lead of course, there is a 30% increase. Also the light industry, this is due to the COVID situation among others because masks and non-woven materials, costumes, -- their production is the light industry’s aggregator and companies refocused to this fast, the rise was about 7.5%."

He separately said that all regions are have enough medicines, including against the COVID-19.
